by M. W. Eubank (Author)
What do you say to a beloved childhood friend whom you haven't seen for the better part of a century...and you haven't aged a day in all that time.
Emily Adler and Josephine Bowser, two girls growing up in 1920s Oklahoma, promise each other to stay young and together for the rest of their lives. Their intentions, however, are upended when one bitter winter day, Josephine and her family mysteriously disappear, leaving Emily devastated and alone.
As Emily blossoms into a lovely fifteen-year-old, her determination to find Josephine and the means to do so becomes an underlying obsession. But the Fates are not through with her yet. Along the way, she encounters an inexplicable event that challenges all she has come to know and love, and places her in the arms of a captivating young woman who has been anticipating Emily's arrival for the past seventy-five years.
Trigger warning: this novel contains adult language, social references indicative of the early twentieth century, and graphic sexual situations.
