by Willow Rose (Author)
A drowned woman. A killer looking for revenge...
The moment reporter Emma Frost finds out that local retiree Ann Mortensen was found dead in her bed, a chill creeps up her spine. Ann's nightclothes were soaked and her lungs were filled with water. The whole island is mystified, but the police accuse Ann's distraught husband of drowning her and believe no-one else is at risk.
But Emma follows a horror-struck man running out into a street nearby to a little wooden home where a second body lies, also bloated with water. And there is no evidence Ann's husband had ever even met him.
Could this be the work of a twisted killer?
Taking matters into her own hands, Emma works around the clock to find a connection between the two victims. Her hands shake when she opens the dead man's personal file and realizes that he worked at the same research lab as Ann. And when a scientist is murdered at that same lab, just days later, Emma is certain she's close to cracking the case.
But with the police ignoring her, will untangling the mystery make Emma the target of something even more sinister than she could ever have imagined?
This spine-tingling mystery and suspense thriller will have you turning the pages late into the night. Fans of Lisa Regan, Mary Stone and Joy Ellis will be hooked.
