by Mary McCarroll White (Author)
Alcoholic Jerry Moss has a dark secret, one that someone doesn't want him spilling. One stormy afternoon, an intruder enters Jerry's house in the Chicago suburbs, sets the bed on fire, and escapes, burning Jerry alive. Incensed by the horrific nature of the crime, homicide detective Ty Jackson of the Evanston Police Department doesn't waste any time starting his investigation. He soon discovers that several people with strong motives wanted Jerry Moss dead-and one of them succeeded. But the deeper Ty digs into the case, the more he realizes he's entered a twisted web of deceit and treachery. When Alicen Collins, the wife of an unfaithful obstetrician, is found murdered, Ty starts uncovering clues that link the two crimes. The pieces of the puzzle start falling into place, and Ty realizes the killer may strike again- so he's as tenacious as a bloodhound in his effort to solve these murders. Brimming with murder, deception, and betrayal, Do Unto Others is a first-rate psychological thriller from talented newcomer Mary McCarroll White.
