by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Author)
History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time.
Alexandria never thought she would dread her eighteenth birthday quite so much. After a devastating turn of events where Aiden was forced to illegally cover up something she did in the Catskills, Alex is aware that she is walking a fine line with the Council. She is also beginning to discover that Seth is really using their training time to get up close and personal with her, which always leads to new Apollyon marks -- not what she wants.
As Alex's birthday draws near, she realizes something that she was not expecting and definitely not hoping for. She will have to choose between two people who she thought she could trust. Aiden has always protected her, and their love is becoming too strong to ignore for much longer, while it turns out Seth has been lying to her from the start. The gods are beginning to enter the game that has become Alex's life, and she knows that she'll discover soon if love can truly be stronger than fate.
