by January Bain (Author)
A gripping tale of mystery, intrigue, and survival against the backdrop of Alaska's unforgiving wilderness.
Corporal Tom Jackson, hardened by the brutal terrains of Afghanistan, steps into Anna Hale's office, desperate to find out who is responsible for killing his sister and burying her beneath a tree on sacred land.
The investigation leads Anna from the deceptive calm of snow-blanketed landscapes to the dimly lit alleys of human depravity where contempt for women festers, striking at the very core of Hollywood and Washington's hallowed power structures. Governed by men shrouded in secrecy, their willingness to preserve their status knows no bounds. Murder is merely a tool in their arsenal.
But then Anna uncovers the darkest secret of them all: The Order of Blood and Bone, a sinister cabal of thirteen families with ties that trace back to the Illuminati and Freemasons, families that wield unfathomable power and wealth, believe themselves to be untouchable and above the very fabric of the law.
When another young actress vanishes, her disappearance a ticking clock against the midnight sun. With The Order setting a cunning trap, framing her as the perpetrator, Anna is forced to tread a path fraught with danger. Going undercover, she stands as the lone barrier against the encroaching evil.
Can Anna stop the evil invading her town and save the young girl's life? Or does this death trap spell doom for the intrepid Anna Hale?
