by James a. Ross (Author)
Where does obligation end when work is the source of pride and fulfillment and family a quagmire of dysfunction and deceit? Tom Morgan has tried to lose himself in the work and rewards of a high-stakes legal career, putting time and distance between him and his ethically challenged family. But when his sheriff brother is ambushed and left for dead in the woods, and his mother is killed in a suspicious hit-and-run accident, Tom returns to his home town to confront an unknown killer and to save his family from itself.
