by Tracey Winter Glover (Author), Mariella Travis (Illustrator)
Fannie was rescued from a feed store, zipped inside Abbie's coat, and driven straight to the vet. A year later, she's living her best life-until she discovers that under the law, chickens aren't considered animals at all.
So Fannie does what any self-respecting chicken would do. She organizes.
With tornado survivors, a French bantam rooster named Stuart, and a second-grade class, Fannie marches on Washington. She brings a scientist. She brings children. She brings a bullhorn and a dance.
Chickens Are Animals, Too! is the story of one chicken who decided not to wait for someone else to fix things. For readers ages 8-12.
