by Victor C. Barnes (Author)
Have you ever been so impressed by someone that you thought they possessed gifts that were out of reach?
If you're tired of dimming your own light in the face of others' perceived brilliance, discover an approach to illuminate your unique gifts and talents. It's called getting out of your own way.
In Chasing Credibility, basketball coach, executive coach, and retired Fortune 100 division CFO shares his journey from naive first-generation college graduate to a level of achievement he could scarcely have imagined. A relentless challenger of boundaries, Barnes ignites your potential to overcome perceived limitations and achieve your boldest aspirations.
How? By keeping it real.
Fans of books that keep topics simple but effective, versus sophisticated and complex, will find themselves hooked by the engaging stories and lessons shared. As a raw and eager talent who entered corporate America with no personal connections in his life who had ever worked in that world, Barnes shares a relatable journey where readers may be able to:
- See themselves.
- Feel less alone.
- Become more empowered.
With engaging stories and relevant research, Chasing Credibility shares the good, the bad, and moments of inspiration that shaped Barnes' life and career. As the subtitle implies, in "Finding Meaning" Barnes tells the stories as they happened and not just the happy outcomes.
This book is for you, whether you're:
- at the beginning of your career and want to build a solid foundation
- mid-career and looking to elevate your professional standing
- an executive seeking to refresh your perspective on leadership.
The chase for credibility transcends industry or background. "Chasing" suggests a destination or goal unattained. Explore one of the most written about attributes in the world right from the start with chapter one exploring authenticity as a conundrum.
