by L. Bowser (Author)
Originally published in 1904. A hitherto very rare little book. The illustrated contents include: Method in Training For the Pit - How to Build the Training Machine - The Spring Pole and its Use - Training Dogs for the Rat Pit - Dog Pit Rules - Rat Pit Rules - Articles of Agreement - Handling in the Pit - Care of Dogs - The Pit Dog Remedies etc. Many of the earliest pit dog books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. Home Farm Books are republishing many of these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
