by B. N. Rundell (Author)
HONOR. RECKONING. GUNSLINGING ACTION.
Cordell Beckett carries a list of names. While several have been crossed out, six still remain. Driven by a haunting act of villainous destruction, he is on a lifelong quest for vengeance, grappling with the fine line between right and wrong. Accepting an appointment as a federal marshal, he hopes to use his position to aid his quest.
But when a wicked band of ragtags takes a young woman captive, Cordell can't help but go to her aid. Venturing into outlaw gold camps and confronting evil across the gold towns of the Rockies, Cordell faces trials that may be too great to overcome. And in a hard land where righting wrongs and bringing evil to justice demands everything, can he stay true to his mission...or will he lose himself to the darkness?
In a land where justice is bought with blood and integrity is the ultimate gamble, one cowboy must decide if vengeance is worth the cost of his soul.
