A SLAVE WITH A SECRET EVEN SHE DOESN'T KNOW

They bleed her every night. Without fail, without a thought, without a choice. Nessie Robinson has been a vampire's slave her entire life, and it sucks. Pun intended.

He was the only vampire she'd ever trusted. Until he left without a word. Ten years ago. Now, he's back and stirring pieces of her better left buried.

A VAMPIRE WITH A PLAN THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE HER

When Charlie Matthews returns to his Maker's mansion, he wants one thing. Revenge. Not a mate. But one taste of the girl he'd foolishly befriended years ago triggers an irreversible bond. Now, he must decide between the revenge he's planned for centuries and the mate he never knew he needed.

ONE BITE COULD CHANGE YOUR FATE

Her gaze darted to the door as she heard footsteps approaching her cell. Her heart raced at the sound, and her palms grew slick with sweat. The lock clicked open just before a dark head of hair popped through the opening.

Her fear evaporated. Master wouldn't delegate her execution. No, he'd want to experience it firsthand, up close and personal. Sick bastard.

"Get out," she snapped. Charlie was the last person she wanted to see. Well, almost.

"Now is that any way to talk to your rescuer?" He pushed the door wide open, leaning against it with his arms and legs crossed.

Now, he was just being a prick. No way was a vampire coming to her rescue. "Do I look like an idiot?"

"Not particularly, but you can prove me wrong later." He pushed off the doorframe and walked towards her. She backed up, matching him step for step until her ass flattened against the cement wall behind her.

He went to grab her arm, but she pulled it away. "Don't touch me."

"Then follow me." His face got within inches of her own. Waaay too close for comfort and he had her backed into a wall. Not good. Her body trembled, her heart thrumming in her ears.

"Why would I do that?"

He rolled his eyes, sighing. "We don't have time for twenty questions. Either follow me, or I'll carry your ass out. Pick one." His face pressed forward another inch. "Quickly."

She stood there speechless and lost in the mesmerizing swirl of silver in his stormy blue eyes. Whoa, what the hell? Mesmerizing? Where the hell did that come from?

She shook herself and clenched her teeth, her palms sweaty again. This was not good. Because what choice did she have really? Stay here and die or...what? Charlie was the only alternative. And honestly, choosing between Master and Charlie. No brainer. Maybe Charlie would at least kill her quickly out of mercy. He at least pretended to be her friend all those years ago. More than she could say for any other bloodsucker around here. "Fine," she ground out. "Lead the way."

He nodded and gave her a quick smile. "Smart choice. Guess you're not an idiot after all." He backed away, letting her breathe again.

Smart ass. Pushing off the wall, she followed his backside, which wasn't a bad view, actually. She mentally smacked herself. He could be leading you to your death. Stop admiring his ass. Apparently, she was an idiot.
