by Patricia Morris (Author)
Beyond the veil of the mortal realm lies a landscape woven from ancient eleven paths and the rhythmic pulse of forgotten folklore. Every forest holds a secret.
The Tale: In the ancient Kingdom of Grundebrand, Darkness is weaving its way through the land and upsetting the balance of the world. An evil wizard is determined to unleash Chaos by awakening three primordial weapons of unimaginable power: The Stone of Light, The Sword of Ice and The Sword of Flame. Solveig, chosen by The Stone of Light to be its bearer, along with her companions, must stay one step ahead of the wizard to save the Fair Enchanted Land. But the wizard has Magic power beyond belief and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
The Saga: Geirmundr is a hearth gnome, bound by the old laws of service and the quiet Magic of the home. But when his charge vanishes across the ocean into the sprawling unknown of the human world, he vows to find her, setting off a chain of events that none could have foretold.
The Quest: After discovering the ancient Book of Days, Elly and her brothers join forces with the elf prince Haakon and his gnome friends, to find the royalty of Grundebrand, who vanished under a curse long ago. As the Darkness gathers strength once more, their courage and willpower are tested and they begin to understand: the world has a voice of its own.
Three stories, one goal. Beneath a Younger Moon is a novel in verse. A lyrical tale of devotion, folklore, myth, fate and the importance of unity in the face of adversity.
