by Kirsten Chang (Author)
A chick waddles across its icy home. An owlet hops between branches in a forest. This title encourages young readers to get curious about the differences between chicks and owlets. Leveled text compares the baby birds' body parts and behaviors as they grow. Clear, labeled photos and a concluding summary spread reinforce the text. Readers get a chance to vote on which bird is cuter!
