Tracking, obedience and protection are dealt with individually, analyzing specific problems that crop up in each skill and offering step-by-step solutions. The approach uses operant conditioning techniques that steer clear of compulsion methods and build a dog's confidence, courage and problem-solving ability. Author Biography
Ivan Balabanov is a three-time member of the USA World Schutzhund Team, and has bred, trained and coached many dogs to National and World Championships at the Schutzhund III level. Karen Duet is a co-founder of Kingsden's Kennels and K-9 Companions-K-9 Security and Detection International LLC. She and her husband are trained security agents, and train home and business protection dogs. Karen competes in Schutzhund and Ring Sport.
