by Rose Garcia (Author)
A royal heir trapped by duty.
A lowborn desperate for a future.
A deadly competition that will change everything.
Princess Avalynn Stromm is destined to rule Faevenly-but the crown feels like a cage. She craves adventure and the freedom denied to her within palace walls. So when the legendary Summit Range Hunt is announced, she finally sees a chance to carve her own path... until she learns she's being sent not to win, but to ensure a lowborn competitor loses.
Mateo Vela is a half-fae with one hope of changing his family's future: the realm's most dangerous hunt, newly opened to competitors from his province. Winning could change everything-or cost him his life. And when whispers of a long-buried prophecy begin to swirl, he finds himself at the center of a destiny far bigger than a single competition.
Thrown together into the hunt, Avalynn and Mateo quickly become targets of creatures more dangerous than imagined. Survival demands an uneasy alliance-even as a forbidden pull grows between them, one neither can afford to trust.
Rivals collide. Secrets unravel. And the fate of Faevenly may rest in the hands of two competitors who were never meant to stand together.
Hidden magic. Rivals-to-lovers tension. A deadly competition.
Perfect for fans of Holly Black, Sarah J. Maas, and sweeping fantasy romance.
Note: Readers are encouraged to read the content warning in the Author's Note inside the book. This series contains violence and fade-to-black romance.
