BECOMING AN IMMORTAL HAS A PRICE...
Eighteen-year-old Brindall Harper never imagined he would fail his rite of passage called "The Day of the Nail." Now marked as an immortal, he is forced to lead a decades-long war that rages over control of the fabled Skylight System orbiting in earth's atmosphere. Suddenly, everything is on the line, including his family's life. However, victory means a one-way ticket to the utopian haven for him and his loved ones if he can survive the deadly war.
Brindall is sent to an elite war academy to hone his skills, where he is teamed with several other young immortals. As they prepare to lead the deadly campaign, Brindall begins to notice cracks in the so-called 'utopia' they fight for. There are undercurrents of manipulation-someone is trying to control him and the other powerful immortals for a more sinister purpose. The lines of reality get even blurrier when they face 'dark immortals' on the battlefield.
Brindall seeks the truth behind his immortal heritage, a truth that not only threatens his mission, but the very existence of his ancient race. He soon finds himself at the heart of a grim conspiracy that could unravel the foundations of the war itself. With the clock ticking and the fate of his family hanging in the balance, Brindall faces a harrowing truth: if he fails...the human race may not survive.
