by Joan Ruddiman Edd (Author), Jo Ann Kairys (Illustrator)
As a young boy ventures out for a morning stroll with his grandmother, he discovers the magical world of plants and flowers in Noanie's garden. All along the winding stone path, they encounter Noanie's old friends and some new additions as the child learns the names -- and nicknames -- of annuals and perennials they greet.
Haven't we all seen how children love to learn proper names for things? Consider how little ones can name specific dinosaurs, construction vehicles, dog breeds, or dance steps. In the lushly illustrated A Morning Stroll in Noanie's Garden, youngsters and their reading partners are introduced to some of the more common names for recognizable plants and flowers.
