2009 reprint of 1887 First edition.First published in 1887, the first edition of the Art of Golf is considered a rarity. According to Bernard Davis, "The Art of Golf is not a book that even when it was first written could safely have been recommended to a student but it is the most entertaining book ever written about the foibles of the human golfer."
