by Carmen Harris (Author), Ross Harris (Author), Qbn Studios (Illustrator)
Nine-year-old, football loving Ross Harris is a star athlete in the Tiny Mite football league. Once the football season ends, he is introduced to a new sport in golf. He soon realizes that golf is very complicated to learn, but he loves it anyway.
Ross wants to compete and excel in golf just as he did in football, but golf is dominated by kids in his area who have been playing for years.
After months of practice and finding a shiny golden golf ball dropped by a hawk, with the words "Harris Hawk" inscribed on it, Ross makes the leap from timid new participant to all-star golfer. He begins to win local tournaments, and everybody starts calling him Harris Hawk - but is the golden golf ball the reason for his success?
This book also features a step-by-step tutorial with tips given to Ross by golf legend, Mr. James Black.
