by Brandon Breeze Dawson (Author)
Basketball taught me how to play. Jesus taught me how to live.
When I was four years old, my dad took me to a gym for the first time. The sound of the ball ricocheting off the floor, and the ball going through the net-was like music to me. From that moment on, basketball became my teacher. It taught me discipline, hard work, and how to push through when life got tough.
But there was one lesson the game couldn't teach me.
When I hit rock bottom, when the pressure, the expectations, and the failures felt too heavy to carry, basketball couldn't save me-Only Jesus could.
This Book Is for You If:
- You Love basketball and want to take your game-and life-to the next level.
- You've ever felt lost, frustrated, or like you weren't enough.
- You're looking for purpose beyond the scoreboard.
- You want a story that's real, raw, and full of hope.
What You'll Get From This Book:
- Basketball wisdom that applies to life-because the game is bigger than the court.
- Faith that fuels perseverance-because success starts with trusting God's plan.
- Real talk about struggles, setbacks, and what it takes to overcome.
This isn't just a basketball book. It's a story about Faith, failure, and finding your way when life knocks you down. Whether you're an athlete, a coach, a parent, or just someone looking for inspiration, this book will challenge you, encourage you, and remind you that with Jesus, you are never alone.
Throughout my journey, I've realized that basketball was merely a teacher. Jesus is my Savior.
